FAQ

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?

Preparation is a great way to ensure you get the most out of your photography session. Start by looking through my previous work and ensure you are familiar and comfortable with my style. Collect samples of photographs that you love and bring these along to your session so I can see what you’re hoping to achieve. If you’re really organised, you can even email these to me before your session! Spend some time thinking through the things you’d like to achieve in your session and how you’re going to prioritise them.

Make sure the things you plan to do in your session are within your present abilities. Keep up with your practice in the lead up to your session and ensure you are effectively warmed up before we start. No photograph is worth injuring yourself for.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

I recommend you stick to neutral colours, and avoid anything with clashing patterns or large logos or slogans that may distract. If applicable, you may wish to consider incorporating your brand colours into your wardrobe. Most importantly, you should wear something you feel great in. If you’re buying new clothes for your session, try them on ahead of time and make sure you feel comfortable and free to move.

WILL YOU COME TO MY STUDIO?

I am available to photograph sessions in your studio or outdoors on location. I have photographed sessions at the beach, on inner city streets, and in the middle of a tropical downpour in Bali. If you need help deciding on a location I am always happy to make suggestions.

Please note that sessions taking place more than an hour outside the Melbourne CBD will attract additional costs.

HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL I RECEIVE?

I do not put a limit on how many photos you will receive. This primarily depends on the nature and duration of your session, and how you choose to use your time.

My preferred method is to allow you to move and flow throughout your session, while I photograph you with minimal direction. This allows for the most natural photographs of your practice, and will optimise the number of photographs you can expect to receive. For mini sessions photographed with this method, yogis often receive approximately 80 photos.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOGRAPHS?

Photographs are delivered in high and low resolution via Dropbox within two to four weeks of your session. You may request express file delivery for an additional cost, but I will not always have capacity to accomodate these requests. Please note the above turn around time when planning your session.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT ABOUT MINI SESSIONS?

Mini sessions allow individual teachers to access professional photography at a more affordable price point. These run two to three times per year depending on demand. Get in touch to request updates about future mini sessions, or follow me on Instagram to keep up to date.

HOW CAN I BOOK MY SESSION?

Commence your booking by getting in touch with the details of your session, and I’ll get back to you shortly with a quote and other information you will need to secure your booking.

I have limited capacity in 2019. If you’re thinking about booking a session, please get in touch ASAP.
